Backlink Goldmine - Get More Backlinks - Part I

This is part one of a short 5 part series of posts and musings about some of the mysteries and outright bunk and old wive's tales being thrown around as facts about backlinks building and aquisition.  This short article will be on the  topic of scary SEO work I've seen being done while using the sites in the Backlink Goldmine 3.0 report.

Anybody esle witnessed this while out and about on the social sites ...?  Here's what these brialliant SEO's are doing in hteir about me profile areas.  No name no text of reference just a gaggle of links ... mostly the same darn keyword phrases going to the same URL!   Like so ...

Repeated like 50 times.  Seriously.  I've seen it a ton.  Mind boggling.  Gee does that scream - Hello .. your site has just been infected with a SPAMMER.

Anyhow ... just wanted to let you know - it's folly.  Google Bot isn't going to give you 10 backlinks for that!  It's going to register 1 set of keyword anchor text URL combos.  Well - thats the rule of thumb as we say - as only Google knows for sure.  My testing with the sites in BGM 3.0 tells me this is accurate as well.

Rule of thumb ... 3 links to a domain MAX per page.  More than one keyword URL combo is a waste of time. The above only gets you a single link to that keyword combo - so you're just wasting bandwitdh and risking account deletion.  Just becuase you CAN bombard an html webform with your anchor text links - doesn't mean you should.

The above example is pointless really - this will yield far better SEO results

Ok - that's 3 links to the same domain on a page - done.  And note... they all don't point to the same URL!

So folks, take it easy on the link bombardment - you're not getting anything for it except maybe more accounts deleted than neccessary.

As usual, the blogs on some of these sites have some serious indexability - they are being found and indexed and ranked in Google in literally hours.  If you have a link or two sprinkled in the post - that means likely your backlinks are getting spidered faster too.  As with all things - use responsibly.
